Notes to answerer
Asker: On balance, this will do even for the UK, but Kitty Brussard provided the references that convinced me.

neutral  writeaway: Het verloop van het schooltraject afgelegd door leerlingen/does full confidence level apply for that suggestion too?/I agree with children's school career (I also do a lot of ed docs). if one wants to play the google game, it gets 40k hits

-> Asker says it spans the whole schoolloopbaan from start to finish. I would feel safer with Educational career in those circumstances.

agree  Grayson Morr (X): This is definitely the correct term. For Google confirmation, try "children's educational career" (13K hits) and "student's educational career" (92K hits). This is the term you want, at least in the US.

agree  Verginia Ophof: or career education ?

-> Career education/career guidance is specifically about helping children make career choices. Not the same thing at all as educational career, I am afraid.

Education tract

Explanation:
This is what I used when I was teaching at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Perhaps this helps, although it might be too US English.

I agree with you, to me 'career' more reflects the faculty than the students themselves.

Good luck from a very gloomy, rainy Suriname.

neutral  Grayson Morr (X): I would feel more comfortable with "educational trajectory"; "education tract" doesn't sound right to me, more like a treatise on education.
