Spanish term

remitir

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
From a press release looking at the outlook for a share price

I dont understand the use of "remitió" here. My first thought was it was a synonym of "representar" but a colleague has suggested “descender”

Any thoughts?

"remitir" tends to mean "decrease" or "abate" when you're talking about something undesirable; it may be that it is used here to make it sound as if the decrease is not such a bad thing! The bank doesn't want to use such an overtly negative term as "decrease".
