aggiungo che si sta parlando semplicemente del valore di capitalizzazione di mercato di questi strumenti e spesso viene usato anche
asset totali

Assets può essere tradotto in diversi modi, in questo caso credo che patrimonio sia più adatto.

: interpretazione di outstanding non appropriata imho nell'utilizzo che volete dare voi la frase sarebbe formulata diversamente "reaching the outstanding figure of.. " o qualcosa del genere

Probabilmente hai ragione, "outstanding" può avere un'accezione diversa nel campo finanziario/contabile. Infatti si parla anche di "outstanding debts" per dire "debiti insoluti".
