Arabic to English
Art/Literary
Poetry & Literature
This word has come up a few times in a Sudanese literary text:
حفلات الزار
(a type of party)
دقاقة الزار
(seems to be a type of drummer)
In each case, the party involves entertainment for the upper class that includes women who go there to sing and dance.
Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer.
