En verdad en inglés sobra una palabra, porque <back taxes> ya implica la existencia de un atraso o mora en el pago.

Lo confirmo en el Diccionario Jurídico (Guillermo Cabanellas y Eleanor C. Hoague) y también en el Diccionario de Términos Jurídicos (E. Alcaraz, B. Hughes)

I agree it is redundant, but to be faithful to the redundancy this would be the translation.

Tom West - "back taxes" is "impuestos atrasados" - "delinquent" in economics is "en mora"
