din Explanation: Or 'racket'. Not sure about the rhyming I'm afraid so that's why I've only entered a medium confidence but it conveys the meaning. Maybe someone else can come up with something that fits the song better. |

hullabaloo ( but please read on!) Explanation: I adoooooore this song!!! here is my attempt where (using poetic licence of course) I have changed the rhyme scheme: With my (dear) little station in my mind's eye where each train chuffed gaily through I still hear through the hullabaloo strange words, words of goodbye OK it doesn't scan.... and certainly doesn't fit the tune but as we all know, nobody's perfect.. Ménilmontant... mais oui, madame....... (or monsieur as the case may be...) |
