English term or phrase: red
I need the translation for the word "red. Used as follows:
The "red" dress.
A "red" apple.
The "red" painting.
Peter Gabriel's song: "Red" Rain.
A "red" couch.
"Red" lipstick.
Thank you!
Sylvia
červený
Explanation:
Assuming that you know absolutely nothing about Czech language, please take into consideration that it may be impossible for you to use English keyboard for typed Czech. You need diacritics, which may not show properly in all programs and just inserting a symbol from your Word menu doesn´t always work.
Czech nouns come in masculine, feminine and neuter. Your word RED would follow that and have a different ending in the sentences.
červené šaty
červené jablko
červený obraz
song..Červený d隝
červená pohovka or červený gauč
červená rtěnka

Hope it helped.

And looking at my answer only proves this program doesn´t take Czech very well. The first letter is a C with a hook, the square is a T with a hook (^ pointing down, if that helps)
