I saw this word in a book about the Oltenian dialect of Rumanian written in French. It is a translation of the Rumanian word laptis,or (luhp-tee-shor) from lapte "milk". However, I can't find the equivalent French word 'gelee royale' in any of the dictionaries I've looked at. Any translation help is greatly appreciated.
