Discussion

Something is Not Clicking One is not trying to influence how Kudoz askers choose thier answers, but sometimes one detects a little deviation from the normal contexts in which idioms are used to translate their "equivalent" idioms in another language. This question's chosen answer seems out of tune with the question asked, which is more about geography than about police work. The idiom chosen satisfies the latter context well, as this link surely shows:

This being said with all respect to all and with full confirmation of what Fuad rightfully pointed out earlier. The whole idea of Kudoz should stay within the academic venue, it was intended to uphold, and not merely to earn points. Maybe more context from the asker could have made some of the doubt expressed here unfounded.
Fuad Yahya Apr 10, 2009:
At lease clarify whether you are seeking help in translating the saying or in finding an English equivalent. Thank you.
Fuad Yahya Apr 10, 2009:
Please be so kind as to clarify your question. Simply laying the word المثل in the explanation box shows lack of earnestness, which fails to invite serious participatin by others.
