And the last, I can't agree more that more often than not these sentences seem to conflict themselves-- but for professional translators, I have no right to change it. For instance, if I am translating a conversation in a marketing research meeting and the conversations just seem stupid and confusing, can you change them? What the company wants is people's real opinions so they can make adjustment toward their products or ads accordingly, it doen't matter how perfect your translation is or how much more sense it makes, it has failed the purpose completely. I'm sure professional translators would know what I mean and that's why no one else blames me for it despite people like Leasley have spotted the problem. Has it occured to you that maybe that's part of the reason I need help here, JUIAN_US?

(not finished, obviously!) use this section of the website. What I said was merely my personal opinion and I thought this place welcomed discussion. If you think my questions are far too easy for you, that's alright for me, but there's no need for you to be mean. And another thing, I completely understand what the sentence said, but I wonder if you wondr understand what my example of athlete's foot applies (it's not HK foot, for your information!)-- I fully agreed with another answer (Leasly? You can look it up) that when you translate, you should bear in mind what the speaker means. In my context, or for whom I am translating this, �����Z means a cure that works wonderfully fast and effective; something that simply cures a disease would never match the picture in their minds. So despite what you said was right (which I never said was wrong), it's not the term I need for my translation. By the way, in your note, you should say " the asker 'has' no knoweldege"-- if I may correct you!
