Although I have the feeling the proper terminology would be: "once an overdraw exceeds a preset current" [ça] déclenche "the microcontroller" [qui] enclenche ...la mise sous tension de la pompe à vide.
Has anyone an idea on this?

Ok sorry my mistake, I would say "déclenche(ra) la mise sous tension de la pompe à vide"
It seems that "l'enclenche" preceeds "la déclenche", so the microcontroller is "enclenché" and the vacuum pump is "déclenchée".
