Kafkasyalilar Explanation: This is not a medical term. Causasians means 'Kafkasyalilar' ('i' without the dot). -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-07-16 08:36:23 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- When I say \'it\'s not a medical term\', I meant that it is not the name of a disease, or of a medicine, or of a treatment, etc. Of course, the word can be used in a medical context, though, and I agree with the explanation given by Gaye and Opedos. My reference is not a good one. Reference: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Aegean/7654/kafkasya_cografy... |

Umarim yardimci olur -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-07-16 04:25:41 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Polis, doktorlar, kriminoloji uzerinde calisanlar suclu hasta vs tarif ederken CAUCASION, ASIAN, vs kullanirlar, beyaz, kadin, 25 yasinda boy vs vs seklinde.... Bu durumda Kafkasyali kullanmak biraz abes kaciyor. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-07-16 04:27:57 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- And, it becomes a medical term if used by a doctor, describing a patient, police reports, criminology. It does refer to white male/female person. OR at least can say Caucasion race, as Kafkasya irkindan... but I dont think so if this was a medical translation \"beyaz irk\" daha dogru geliyor bana... IMO (in my opinion) of course -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-07-16 04:35:53 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Here is something that talks about my point: Caucasian male (white people against minority) http://www.businessweek.com/careers/content/may2001/ca200105... and another site on caucasian , and a bit more entertaining http://community-2.webtv.net/MaleModels99/PlatinumNubianMale... one more example, on \"caucasian\" used in medical terminology, and I dont think they mean someone from Caucasia! http://path.upmc.edu/cases/index.html |
