En español se lo conoce como varímetro o como varmetro.

Varmeter: (Elec) varmetro. Aparato que sirve para medir, directa o indirectamente una potencia reactiva ('reactive power')en vars. (...) Sinónimo: reactive voltampere meter.
Así como el vatímetro mide vatios y el voltímetro mide voltios, el varmetro mide voltamperios reactivos (vArs).
En este caso el varmetro forma un conjunto coherente con los demás medidores indicados.

: No en este caso. La palabra varímetro trae confusión con 'variómetro', pero aquí se trata de un 'varmetro', medidor de potencia reactiva. Siempre acompaña en los tableros eléctricos al vatímetro, voltímetro y amperímetro.
