My question is - does blindados mean "armour", i.e. tanks, or does this say "heavy armoured mortars"? This is from historical infromation from the Battle of the Ebro in the Spanish Civil War. "Además de estas construcciones, los defensores contaban con dos secciones de ametralladoras y una de morteros de 50 mm, y la presencia en las proximidades de piezas de artillería antitanques, morteros pesados y blindados."

In this context of a list, the 'blindados' is surely the 'armored car' or 'armored personnel carrier' that was better-protected than a common truck but not nearly as thick armor as a tank, and whose guns were smaller. They were not 'cars' in the sense of a family vehicle, for they must have been at least 5-ton trucks, and many had rear half-tracks (another tech military term for this query) for propulsion, but tires and wheels on the front (steering) axle.

erroneously provided the explanation in English. What I wrote means that I didnt find many hits for blindados in the web, and that you should search additionally. The vehicles in questions are armour- plated or armour-clad cars.
