The Powwow held in Guelph, Ontario Canada on September 26, 2012 was held at the Diana Downtown restaurant to celebrate International Translation Day. This is the third Powwow that has been held in Guelph, much to the delight of Guelph and area translators and interpreters. It was agreed we would continue to meet on a monthly basis. One of our attendees will be attending the ATA conference in San Diego in October 2012 and we look forward to a report from him at our next Powwow. As before, connections were made with regard to sharing work in our language pairs, as well as potential referrals to those working in specialties and language pairs other than our own. We are also expecting the attendance of Spanish translation students from nearby University of Guelph at our Powwows in the future, as well as possibly having these students shadow us or establish a mentor-mentee relationship.
