Mar 10, 2008

chance wrote:

Mar 10, 2008

chance wrote:

A popular saying goes something like this ...

If you're not a liberal by your 20's, you don't have a heart; if you're not a conservative by your 40's, you don't have a brain

http://www.google.com/search?q=liberal%20heart%20conservative%20brain&hl=en&start=30&sa=N

Some attribute this saying to Churchill, but I doubt it. There would be an exact quote if it were true.

Anyway, I was watching "60 Minutes" last night. In his interview with Scott Pelley, John McCain stated, "... I believe that America is a right-of-center nation ..."

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/03/07/60minutes/main3917681.shtml

After spending nearly 30 of my adult years in this country - and without affiliation with any political party BTW - I don't think that statement is too much of a stretch.
