Hi,

Hope someone can help. I've been very careless and sent some files to the "Recycle Bin" then emptied it, losing an important file.

I've tried "System Restore" but to no avail - it doesn't want to restore before the current date and time which seems a bit pointless.

Anyway, does anyone know how to retrieve the information deleted for the "Recycle Bin"?

I'm sure that all info is stored on another part of the hard drive until such time as it is written over - any idea how to access this?

Thanks,

Julie

You need special software Nov 4, 2004

an a bit of luck, that the sectors of the HDD, where the files were stored, were not overwritten in between.
One possible software could be this: http://www.uneraser.com/overview.htm
or
http://www.winternals.com/products/repairandrecovery/filerestore.asp?source=google&campaign=1&group=1&creative=1
or
http://www.filerecover.com/google/download.html

Regards
Jerzy

PS
To find more tools, just take Google on the ride for "restoring deleted files"
