"Nem lehet eltekinteni az adatlap kitöltésétől, ha a tranzakciót folytató személy, vagy az általa képviselt harmadik fél nem ügyfele a pénzügyi szolgáltatónak."
Ket problemam van vele: Egyreszt nem ugrik be egy alkalmas angol megfelelo az "eltekint"-re. Masreszt a mondat ertelme ellenkezik a logikammal. Miert kene kitoltenie az adatlapot annak, aki nem ugyfele a szolgaltatonak?

a szót nem nagyon tudom, az értelme viszont az lehet, hogy az utcáról beeső ügyfél számára is végeznek tranzakciókat: ha számlája van náluk, akkor nyilván nem kell adatlap, ha még soha nem látták, akkor kell.

*nem ügyfele a pénzügyi szolgáltatónak* úgy értendő, hogy eleddig nem volt ügyfele vagy hogy továbbra sem akar ügyfele lenni csak egy [véletlenszerű] esetben kíván igénybevenni egy vagy több szolgáltatást. Persze a logika szerint ez által is már ügyfél, de eddig nem ismerték.

: Ez nem elég erős, a "do not prescind from" úgy fordítandó, hogy "ne feledkezzen meg", a fönti szövegben például "nem hiányozhat" az ...ügyesség. + Igen.

Utólag én is jobbnak tartom a "cannot dispense with the completion of...". javaslatodat. Az *eltekinteni* szót főleg akkor lehet jól a *to prescind from* kifejezéssel fordítani ha gondolatbeli eltekintésről van szó.
