English term

pre-incubation luzindole

English Science Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) ROS, Degenerative Diseases
Furthermore, our results showed that the pre-incubation luzindole, an antagonist of MT1 and MT2 melatonin receptors, did not induce changes on the effect of melatonin on oxidative stress induced by okadaic acid.

Should this be pre-incubation administration of luzindole??
thanks
xx

Fine as it is, but could be "pre-incubation WITH luzindole"

in which case you would, of course, drop the article.

Pre-incubation is a terribly vague (though popular) sicentific way of saying that the substance was added (and probably left in the cell culture for some time) before the experiment itself began.

agree Veronica Prpic Uhing : Agree with "with" , but - pre-incubation is well defined term for researchers while for example "cross-dock supervisor" is not. The particular experiment started with antagonist binding to the receptors prior to agonist addition.

Yes, I quite agree with your remark. I did not pause to think about pharmacological matters :-)
