magazin neautorizat, provizoriu, migrant Explanation: To squat, zice Webster, are sensul american de a ocupa un loc pe domeniul public fara autorizatie, sau cu un fel de permisiune, in cadrul unor anumite reglementari, dar in vederea obtinerii abia mai tarziu a autorizatiei legale propriu-zise (de ex., asa cum s-au ocupat candva terenuri agricole in Oklahoma). Sensul general este de a ocupa o cladire in mod ilegal (squatters, se vorbeste din cand in cand despre ei la stirile din destul de multe tari). Nu-mi vine o great idea cum s-ar putea spune in romana. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 18 mins (2005-10-21 10:46:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Magazine fara titlu de proprietate asupra terenului. Aciuiate. Tolerate. |

magazin mic, cu un singur nivel Explanation: doar o parere... nu cred ca o retea dezvoltata de farmacii precum CVS, prezenta in vreo 35 de state americane daca nu ma-nsel, isi permite sa deschida noi farmacii pe terenuri ocupate ilegal. sa nu uitam ca squat mai are un sens: 1. squat - short and thick; as e.g. having short legs and heavy musculature; "a dumpy little dumpling of a woman"; "a little church with a squat tower"; "a squatty red smokestack" etc.; (vezi www.thefreedictionary.com/squat) as zice ca se autorul face o metafora, referindu-se de fapt la magazine de dimensiuni reduse, cu un singur nivel (vezi www.comfortrol.com/images/cvs-pharmacy.jpg) imi permit sa fac o remarca offtopic: e clar ca articolul se vrea o antiteza intre Starbucks si CVS, ce as vrea sa subliniez este ca si cafenelele din reteaua Starbucks sunt la fel de mici:) |
