sales promotion subsidy
販促協力金refers to a subsidy that the sales outlet receives from the manufacturer of the for selling their product(s). The most common example of this practice is seen in the sales of mobile phones in Japan. Older models of mobile phones are often sold for 1 Yen at sales outlets. This is made possible by the sales promotion subsidy that the seller receives from the phone companies.
