Spanish term or phrase: encumbró en sus publicaciones
Back to my text about the Mexican Revolution, we're now talking about art, and the muralist movement. Context:

Por la misma época, la compañía litográfica la Enseñanza Objetiva encumbró en sus publicaciones los más importantes asuntos de la mexicanidad dentro del discurso posrevolucionario, mismos que serían revalorados en los cromos calendáricos de la empresa Galas de México.

I do know that Galas de México was the competition of Enseñanza Objetiva, and they took over when E.O. closed. The verb has me stumped here. What I've found in my references does not fit the context.
Gracias.

English translation:glorified (...) in its publications
Explanation:
glorified the most important issues of Mexican identity within the post-revolutionary discourse ...

I just translated encumbrar last month (a new word for me) and I used glorified (in that case, glorifying the war exploits of the Aztecs).

cromos calendarios

aren't they talking about Mexican calendar art here and the illustrations?

Note to reference poster
Asker: Thank you Liz!

Asker: Is this about encuadrarse or encumbrarse?

Asker: Indeed they are. I just figured out that cromos here is short for cromolitografías, they are not talking about estampas, or picture cards. Most of what they printed were calendars with drawings that became the poor man's artwork.
