A substance made from the seeds of the guar plant which acts as a stabilizer in food systems. Is found as a food additive in cheese, including processed cheese, ice cream and dressings.

U sebi sadrži veliku količinu vlakana, koristi se kao laksativ, može da izazove neugodnosti, kod izuzetno osetljivih osoba. Guar guma se koristi kao zamena za ksantan ili u kombinaciji.<br /><br />guar guma - dodatak bezglutenskim pecivima u cilju ugušćavanja ; aditiv sa oznakom E412; jedna vrsta hidrokoloida
