OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this task, the employee should be able to:
1. Complete a test of the wire and evaluate the quality of slickline throughout its life span. (IPS)

THEORIES:
1. Explain why should (IPS) slickline be torsion tested on a regular basis?
2. Explain the proper procedure for testing IPS wire with the tester utilized at your location.
3. Discuss proper turns required, per wire size for a passing torsion test.
4. Discuss different fractures, when wire breaks and which ones are acceptable.

PRACTICALS:
1. Under supervision, do several wire test and complete the proper documentation for the wire records.
2. Discuss fractures with your mentor.
