El contexto es:
Bandolera estuche en cuero de vaca con pelo y cuero vaqueta natural.
Es para un catálogo de artesanías argentinas que va a ser presentado en Europa.
Aparte del dolor de cabeza que significa 'bandolera estuche', que consultaré con el cliente (que no es el autor!), no encuentro algún criterio para definir 'cuero vaqueta natural'. 'Cuero de vaca con pelo' lo traduje como 'Hair-on cowhide leather' (¿es lo mismo que 'cow leather'?).
Encontré que en inglés hay un ‘vachetta leather’, y lo definen como:
"Vachetta leather is used in the trimmings of luggage and handbags. The leather is left untreated and is therefore susceptible to water and stains. Sunlight will cause the natural leather to darken in shade, called a patina."
Por lo que veo en fotos en Google es un cuero como graneado irregular, que tiene las marcas naturales, pero lamentablemente en la cartera que tengo que describir no se llega a ver. ¿A qué se referirán acá en Argentina con ‘cuero vaqueta natural’?
