De antemano gracias.

The extracellular matrix is also responsible for the
remarkable resistance of biofilms to wetting, which in turns
makes them highly repellent to liquids and gas. This phenomenon
seems to be in part responsible for the reduced
penetrability of antimicrobials and thus a lack of efficiency
(Epstein et al., 2011; Flemming and Wingender, 2010). The
exact composition of the extracellular matrix is a key in this
intrinsic repellent nature of biofilms, and mutants affected in
the extracellular matrix show reduced non-wetting properties
(Epstein et al., 2011). In B. subtilis, there are at least two
major components of the extracellular matrix, the exopolysaccharide,
and the amyloid-like protein TasA , although new
players, such as the protein BslA, are being added to this list
(Branda et al., 2005; Marvasi et al., 2010).
