Forage dans les eaux profondes de la mer Noire
Le groupe pétrolier Petrom, aux côtés de ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Romania Limited (EEPRL), filiale de la compagnie ExxonMobil, ont entamé le forage d'exploration au derrick Domino-1, le premier derrick d'exploration dans des eaux profondes du secteur roumain de la mer Noire, annonce Petrom dans un communiqué.
Le derrick Domino-1 est situé dans l'ensemble Neptun, à 170 km du bord de la mer, dans des eaux ayant environ 1.000 m de profondeur. Le forage sera effectué avec d'équipement technologique de dernière génération, par le navire ultramoderne de classe mondiale "Deepwater Champion", arrivé récemment dans les eaux roumaines, après la fin d'un programme de forage de Turquie. La durée des opérations de forage est estimée à quelque 90 jours.
