agree  rjbemben: "Subject with certificate" is general enough. I just read Para. 48 of BAfög regulations requiring Bescheinigung ("Formblatt 5") of progress before giving out financial aid. Seems unrelated though. "Den rosa Zettel, gelben Zettel...."

i studied at german universities and actually had such a subject, it s just a proof that you ve been to classes, so i think you should mention attendance in the translation

neutral  rjbemben: Examples of 'Seminarbescheinigungen' on the web state "...bestätigt erfolgreiche Teilnahme". Some professors might interpret that to mean just attendance, but others might require more. Oder?
