The part between ** **

QUINTO.- Por ultimo debe acordarse en la presente resolucion el traslado de los escritos de acusacion al acusado, **habilitandole, en su caso, de la defensa y representacion correspondiente.**

My attempt for the first part is as follows: "Finally this resolution must arrange for the defendant to be provided with a copy of the indictment.." but my doubt lies with the phrase "habilitandoLE ... DE". Does this mean that a copy must be provided to the corresopnding defense and representation(?), or does it mean that the DEFENDANT must be provided with some information with regard to the defense and representation??

Many thanks

\"appropriate\" not \"adequate\" representation

I think there is a missing word before \"de,\" (probably \"the right to\") but this translation conveys the intended meaning.

my take

Explanation:

Lastly, this order [or verdict, decision BUT NOT resolution!] must provide the defendant a copy of the indictment, and grant him [or her], should it apply, [legal] defense and representation thereof.

In other words: they have to get a copy of the indictment and the order must also grant him or her a FREE LAWYER...

so to answer your question: provide a copy and GRANT him or her legal defense and representation relating to the indictment.
