end of first line, correction,......is there such a term? Not ..is there a such a term.

transphy Jun 22, 2012:
I had been baffled by this term 'Singular xx xx'. What is a 'Singular Company? Have I heard such a term before? Is there a such a term? seeing there are so many 'agrees' and having an open mind, I rang Companies House in London and asked them the straight question, 'is there such a term as a ' Singular Company' of some sort'?? Answer: No, Sir, never heard of it!! Suggest it may be "Registered xx xx." So, perhaps "ΔΙΕΘΝΕΣ ΜΕΤΑΦΟΡΑΙ ΜΕΣΟΓΕΙΑΚΗ ΕΛΛΑΣ IME( IME= Registered Transport Company?????) I know the matter is closed on 'Singular' but I had to write my observation, as an alternative thought for future reference, maybe???!!!!!!!
Non-ProZ.com Oct 12, 2004:
Singular? So the translation would be "Singular Transport Company"?

Similar correspondence problem...in Spain :-))
SINGULAR COMPANIES.-

The singular companies are companies, which due to their business activity, sales volume, turnover, staff, social importance and productive characteristics are different from the rest of the companies affiliated to the Federation through their respective association. Such companies may apply directly to become a member.

A company may be considered as a singular company in the Federation and at the same time may belong to a sectorial organisation.

as for translation , I think that yes it is an ideal situation where the translator can correspond the term, but that\'s not always possible. So yes in terms of \"singular companies\" there are a few cases where it can be considered a referecne to \"ιδιότυπη\" or \"ιδιόμορφη.
I would suggest saying \"a singular Translaport Company\"

τα holdings, οι ΠΑΕ κλπ.

COMPANIES ET... CHATEAUX EN ESPAGNE

ΙΜΕ = Special Status Transport Company.
