Night owl确实是指熬夜的人，深夜不睡的人，但通常不是指熬夜工作用功学习的人，而是惯于晚上活动的夜生活者，与中文的另一个口头语“夜游神”同义。
而Midnight oil burner则指熬夜在灯下孜孜不倦地工作或用功学习的人，更符合BBW,linguist提问的原意。
