švihové pohyby

Czech to English Medical Medical (general) low back pain
Context: acute lumbago (low back pain).

U intenzivních bolestí lze léčbu doplnit perorálně podávaným tramadolem, tapentadolem IR nebo kodeinem. Farmakoterapii musí předcházet pohybová doporučení - omezení těžké fyzické práce, zvedání břemen, nevykonávat *švihové pohyby*.

Discussion

Hannah Geiger (X) Aug 16, 2016:
to Martin I thought that with the trunk it would be trunk rotation, and there is a difference between arm rotation and arm swing, IMO. Anyway, in a broader sense, your answer would, of course, make sense.
Hannah Geiger (X) Aug 16, 2016:
to Asker No, actually, I was not thinking of a dance, :), but more along these terms: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3048239/
Martin Janda Aug 16, 2016:
The thing is that you can do a švihový pohyb with your trunk as well. It's a swift, abrupt movement as opposed to silový pohyb - slow and gradual.
Linguists (asker) Aug 16, 2016:
My first idea was 'swinging' but it seems very vague. You can swing various parts of your body. You swing your arms when you walk.

Note from asker:
Hi Hannah, you might see 'swing movement' used as a dance term, but I'm not sure it's right here.
