I wonder if this is actually a Scandinavian concept which will make it difficult to find an exact replica of such a building in the English-speaking world. I think it would also cover both eventualities as to what is contained therein: residential or commercial.
This picture on the web site provided makes me think that tower block might "fit the bill" (slight, poor, pun intended!)

Thanks for your answer. I had seen your original answer when you initially put it on and didn't think it was any less correct than the one I chose. However, before getting any replies I had to deliver the translation back and "tower block" was what I figured would be closest. It was only when you pointed out you'd given the same (chosen) answer in an added note that I realised I should have picked your answer and thanked you as well.
