I got this translation in Traditional Chinese 選擇卡的類型. And this one in simplified Chinese: 选择卡的类型. In the first place, are these translations ok? and second, which version is more understandable for a Chinese person travelling around the world?

The translation is OK and they have the same meaning.
But I think the two transaltions is correct, but is not accurate.
If the card is credit card:
Traditional Chinese: 選擇信用卡類型
simplified Chinese: 选择信用卡类型
If the card is common bank card:
Traditional Chinese: 選擇銀行卡類型
simplified Chinese: 選擇銀行卡類型

Yes.
In fact, if you don't want to distinguish the two cards, you may leave the translation as is.

Sorry, I made a mistake.
debit card:
Traditional Chinese: 金融卡
simplified Chinese: 借记卡
I mean that the common bank card is debit card, but bank card include the credit card and debit card.
So I think the best translation is:
Traditional Chinese: 選擇銀行卡類型
simplified Chinese: 选择银行卡类型
