Je viens seulement de remarquer "in children".

Quoique certains enfants aient besoin de prothèses (souvent partielles, par exemple, pour ménager/préparer la place aux dents permanentes en cas de dents lactéales manquantes), c'est assez rare.
Mais denture en anglais est bien l'équivalent de prothèse en FR et en aucune façon denture = l'ensemble des dents.
Terme EN utilisé erronément ? Peut-être une question à poser au client ...

agree  writeaway: the coma after the word and means there are two items: denture sores, and oral infections in children/how many children wear dentures? The comma does make a big difference imo. At least to the way I read it/see my ref. it shows the original
