'reonciling' in this sense means 'comparing', as with accounts etc., which i believe is 'rapprocher'.

I should perhaps have pointed out that the whole construction using 'being for...' is very typical of the highly stilted style of EN typically used in patents and similar documents, and naturally that part of this would need to be completely re-workd in order to redner it in an equivalent register in FR.

But I feel sure Asker's key issue here was how to handle 'reconciling' in this context.
