English term

in reported terms

English to German Bus/Financial Accounting annual report / earnings per share
Es geht um den Geschäftsbericht eines weltweit bekannten Getränkeherstellers.
Im einführenden Bericht des CEO heißt es unter "Invested capital and cash flow":

"Notwithstanding the slight decline in earnings per share (***in reported terms***), the Company has demonstrated strong cashflow generation".

Was ist damit gemeint?

Discussion

Klaus Urban (asker) Feb 15, 2013:
Hallo Andrea, danke! Gib das doch bitte als Antwort ein.
Andrea Hauer Feb 15, 2013:
Hallo Klaus, das müsste dann "in der Berichtswährung" sein ...

siehe auch hier:

Was auch ginge, und mir hier glaube ich besser gefallen würde, wäre:
(nicht währungsbereinigt)
Klaus Urban (asker) Feb 15, 2013:
Thank you Diana for this explanation. Now I understand but still need a translation.
What is the equivalent of this term in German?
Diana Obermeyer Feb 15, 2013:
reported terms vs comparable basis One is exchange rate dependent, the other one not (also called constant currency terms). It will explain the details somewhere in the accounts, i.e. the terms will be specified. It may be that the earnings per share did not decline on a constant currency basis, i.e. that any decline was exchange rate dependent - therefore the term is added in brackets.
