English term
gear multiplication
English to Polish
Tech/Engineering
Automotive / Cars & Trucks
Third or fourth gear usually works best since there is less gear multiplication and a more direct connection between the engine and driveshaft speeds.
Jest to jakiś termin czy dosłownie - mnożeń/przemnażań biegu ? Choć dość dziwnie brzmi

tu: trzeci lub czwarty bieg x przełożenie przekładni głównej
An automobile transmission is a prime example of gear multiplication. As an automobile operates, the engine remains in a fairly common revolution per minute (RPM) level. To increase speed, the transmission gear wheel system begins to change gear combinations or shifts gears and the vehicle's speed increases. The transmission continues to change the order in which the different sets of gear wheel combinations interlock and the vehicle shifts through all of the possible gear changes to reach a cruising speed.

w poniższym odsadniku multiplier = przełożenie przekładni głównej
Is there any science around what would be an optimum first gear multiplier for performance, but not a race car? I understand that the higer you go makes first gear useless, and the lower you go, you'll have to slip the clutch. I have a relatively stock LT1, around 350hp, going through an M20 wide, 2.52 first gear. Trying to decide between 3.55, 3.70 or 3.90 gears for the rear.

zwiększenie przełożenia przekładni
I think this is a simple "gear multiplication ratio."
