English to Portuguese Medical Medical: Instruments filters

The Gaussian filter is a frequency filter based on an
exponential function that takes the form: F(x) = a*exp(-b),
where a and b are based on the mean and standard
deviation. This equation is referred to in statistics as
“normal” or “bell” curve. Because of its exponential dropoff,
it also behaves well in filtering.
