Aha Angel has been having technical problems and has been unable to add the information that he has managed to e-mail me: this is a subtitle, and the context is of meetings with the employees of a company to
identify problems of compliance, security, environment, etc. without their direct manager or supervisor. So Analia's response is looking good, with the proviso that the direct manager or supervisor is not there (presumably to make the others speak more freely).

Analia In the case you are talking about there is context, but the poster cannot give it, which he could state. In that case he would also then be able to judge if our responses are appropriate for his context.

Como bien dice Maria José, se trata de reuniones entre los empleados y los altos cargos de una empresa (dos niveles jerárquicos que habitualmente no mantienen contacto), sin la intervención/la presencia de los mandos intermedios (es decir, los superiores directos de los empleados). Esto permite a los altos cargos conseguir información a la que de otro modo únicamente podrían acceder a través de los informes de los mandos intermedios.

No hay una traducción equivalente al español por lo que sería conveniente utilizar una perífrasis explicativa (incluyendo "sin la presencia de los mandos intermedios" que corresponde al matiz de "saltarse un nivel jerárquico") manteniendo el término original en inglés entre paréntesis.

Reuniones entre gerentes y los equipos de trabajo que estan de uno a dos nivelees por debajo de ellos, sin incluir a la persona directamente encargada del equipo de tabajo. Omiten (Skip) en las reuniones un nivel de jerarquia (level)

A Skip-Level Meeting is a meeting between managers and team members who are one or more levels below them. The purpose of a skip-level meeting is for managers to get to know their team members, build trust with them, and understand their problems. Skip-level meetings can never take the place of direct communications within teams, but it can be a powerful adjunct to these efforts.
