بیٹھنے کا کمرہ ، گول کمرہ

In olden days it was referred to as 'گول کمرہ'. You can find this term in old novels or other writings but it is not very commonly used these days. The word 'بیٹھک' or 'ڈرائنگ روم' is the room where mostly the guests are served and is not used as a 'common' or 'living' room.
Peer comment(s):

agree u2me2them : I would be more inclined to go with 'bethak' but on the one hand we are asked of the 'activity room', then 'living room' or 'common room' but not dining room

neutral Muhammad Abbas Saqib : In your translation Gol Kamra,which is very good but almost abandoned word,as you say,found only in old novels.

agree Haris Ali Dogar : Goal kamra is more appropriate translation than Nashist gah.

Dear Aburiaz, You must know that Urdu itself consists of different language,mainly Farsi,Arabi,Turki and Hindi,alongwith regional languages.So if it is not Farsi Word,it will be from these language.
neutral Haris Ali Dogar : Good translation, but it is not used commonly.
