Technical analysts often identify price levels which are important for further price developments: the most common are "support" and "resistance" levels. Have a look at the "Technical Market Update" published by Julius Bär (see URL below), and you'll see what I mean. (Don't worry about the lingo, though... S-H-S means "shoulder-head-shoulder" - a classic chart pattern...)
