French term

par aspiration de la pompe

French to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
As in:

"Traitement par aspiration de la pompe"

Context: blurb for a range of car fuel treatment products; there are a couple of products that are used directly in the fuel tank, then the product the question refers to, a "Curatif Injection Diesel" treatment that cleans the injection system and reduces fuel consumption. So I suppose it's used via pump action? But really not sure how to express this correctly, "Pump vacuum treatment", or just "vacuum treatment" maybe?

Any ideas welcome, especially from car engine experts!

I think you got it yourself, pump action - it's pump suction literally isn't it. I use these products myself, normally you just pour it into the diesel fuel tank. If its a product to clean out the diesel injectors (they get combustion deposits on them over time) I don't see how it could be other than by adding to the fuel, unless it's used in the garage and they pump it through the injectors manually to clean them, rather than the fuel pump doing it when you drive the car.

through the pump

<<Aspiration>> and <<pompe>> sound a bit tautologous to me!

Keep it simple...
