This is taken from the technical specification of a waste treatment facility. Concrete slab with a percolated coating? I understand that it needs to be able to withstand all the weight and the friction etc., but am not sure about the coating of the surface - possibly to do with the storage of the compost etc. Anyone familiar with this type of surface?

A "percolated" slab is one that has been suffused with a substance (bitumen, etc.) to make it resistant, probably against seepage of toxic substances from the waste in this case.

dalle enrobé perforé???
So that liquid can run off?
Don't know what is meant by "enrobé".
"Dalle" usually implies concrete, "enrobé" usually implies asphalt. It is always possible that they are using "dalle" for a an asphalt layer, and that "percolé" means it allows liquid to percolate through, like "porous asphalt", the stuff they use on roads, where traffic spray is practically eliminated because water seeps through gaps between the aggregate and runs off laterally through the asphalt, to drains at the side.
However I suspect such a system would very soon get clogged with compost ...

As it stands you have asphalt. Can't see asphalt being "perforated", so I'm going down the "porous/pervious asphalt" road, despite the jams (compost).

Enrobé percolé
L'enrobé percolé est un enrobé ouvert dans lequel on coule après refroidissement un coulis (mélange à base de ciment et de résine) qui vient remplir les vides dans l'enrobé.
Par ajout d'un pigment au coulis, on obtient un enrobé coloré. Ce pigment formerait une combinaison chimique avec les autres constituants du coulis. De ce fait, la déco- loration due au décollement du pigment constatée sur les enrobés à base de bitume ne se produirait plus. In the French national standard for airport asphalt mixes, information is sometimes given about requirements for transverse joints and for skid resistance. For particular sites, such as aprons or parking areas, PERCOLATED (GROUTED) ASPHALT is often used as mentioned above but there is not a standard for it. This product consists of an open graded asphalt concrete containing about 25 to 30 % of voids which are filled with a special slurry grout that is highly fluid and is able to penetrate the voids in the open graded asphalt concrete. The fast curing grout locks the asphalt concrete and provides the material with good resistance to deformation, abrasion and fuel and chemical attack

On 2nd thoughts, I think "slab" is justifiable. Ordinary asphalt does not constitute a "slab" by my books since it would bend and break (far more easily than concrete of the same thickness), but being grouted with cement and/or resin would indeed give it "slab" status.
