French term
Saillie des rehausses au-dessus des poutres
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Metallurgy / Casting
Metal Joists
This is an isolated term in the design calculations ("notes de calcul") on the reinforcement of metal joists with HVB connectors ("Renforcement de poutres métalliques par connecteurs HVB"). Under design assumptions ("hypothèses de calcul"), a list of term can be found: portée de poutre, entr'axe des poutres, type de profilé, etc. Any thoughts on the this term?

Projection of shear connectors above beams
Can't help wondering if rehausses is not a non-standard term for your HVB shear connectors which do indeed stand proud of the beam. This would tie in with the reference to "dimension between réhausses" in relation to the renformis in your other question (i.e. the haunch would necessarily be a little wider than the distance between shear studs).

No refs. It was more of a literal attempt there not being much to go on.

: Doesn't sound right. Overhang can't be a pad.
