French term
amérisant
French to English
Other
From the context, it's a bitter additive that Total sensibly puts in its engine products so children won't want to try drinking them. One sentence, for instance, is "Contient un agent répulsif amérisant, une garantie de sécurité contre l'absorption accidentelles pour les enfants et les utilisateurs."
I've thought of "bitterness enhancer", but that gets no hits on Google.
Any ideas? Thanks!
