CHART OF ACCOUNTS
Is a list of all accounts used by a Company for accounting purposes.

"Rechnungsplan" = "accounting plan"
Here is an alternative to "chart of accounts":
"Rechnungsplan" = "accounting plan" - Hamblock/Wessels, Eichborn
The problem is, neither name seems to really fit your context unless they have more than one meaning, they both sound like a list of account numbers and names and if so, another name would be "Kontenrahmenplan" or simply "Kontenrahmen". There are definitely no figures in a "Kontenrahmenplan", only the account name and account number. This I know from my own German accounting system.
I suspect that your particular "Rechnungsplan" is something different from a "Kontenrahmenplan" or "chart of accounts" or "accounting plan".
"Rechnungsplan" itself is not widely used: zero pertinent AltaVista all languages hits, and only 43 at Google mainly including SAP oriented sites like these:

"Rechnungsplan
Projektsystem (PS)
Keditorischer Terminplan, der die geplanten Zahlungsausgänge zu einem fremdbeschafften Netzplanvorgang bzw. Komponente enthält. Der Rechnungsplan enthält Rechnungs- und Anzahlungstermine."
This is then a third meaning, a schedule of invoices for payment, again probably not what your customer was talking about unless he did not know what he was talking about or SAP did not know what they were talking about. Both are possible.

The above site in German and English shows "Kostenartenplan" for "accounting plan" which agrees with the "Kontenrahmenplan" concept mentioned above. This makes the soup even thicker. I give up. Dan

accounting summary
Sorry I don't have time to research this on the net, but it sounds like what you've got is a (hypothetical) accounting summary as a part of a business plan. Proforma financial statements would be another possible alternative. HTH, Beth
