@Helen I don't disagree, but I didn't ask Ted because I just spent time fussing with trying to get the most helpful respondents to post an "answer" to two other questions, and they didn't do it, for whatever reason. I decided that people who have been on Proz for awhile "know the ropes" of Kudoz and will post an answer if they so choose. I also discovered that it is possible to close a question and then post what you think is the best translation to the Kudoz glossary, even if it is not one of the official "answers" (I previously didn't think that was possible). So, since Ted was agreeing with my translation, I put that into the Kudoz glossary. That way people will find it if they needed, and can refer to the discussion here.
I think it would be good if people who post useful discussion entries but not answers could still be "chosen" for points, but the system doesn't work that way now.

@ Susan After doing a bit of research, I'm 99.9% sure that it should read Zwangsabgaben. But that's moot now. Zwangsausgaben are unavoidable expenses like health insurance premiums and rent.
