German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) online sales, Gen. Terms & Conditions

Hi All,
This is for a website selling original paintings/artwork. It's a paragraph from their Gen. Terms & Conditions. While Google & Co. give me plenty of examples of *Botenmacht*, I've yet to find a proper / useable transl. of the term (target readership: UK/int'l).

§ 7 Haftung und Gewährleistung
(1) Der Nutzer, der ein Angebot abgibt oder annimmt, handelt hinsichtlich der Existenz des Vertragspartners auf eigene Gefahr. Eine Haftung der XYZ LLP nach den Regeln der Haftung des Boten ohne Botenmacht ist ausgeschlossen.
