Selected
1:1 model of the pelvis
Since this is dealing with joint replacement it can only mean that they generate a true 1:1 model of the pelvis, based on the CT scans, and use it to design a special, individualized total hip replacement using CAD tools. And yes, it should be spelled Beckenmodell.

should be "Beckenmodell"
I suppose the word was hyphenated by an automatic hyphenation component of a word processor (turning Bec-kenmodell into Bek-kenmodell according to "old" German spelling rules), then "de-hyphenated" without converting it back.
In this context Beckenmodell would be a "model of the pelvis", I guess (I'm no medical expert though).
